About Meghan
Meghan began performing at the age of two, when she began taking dance classes. She looked forward to dance recitals every year because she loved the feeling of being on stage. Meghan continued dancing for 12 years, studying ballet, jazz, lyrical, and tap.
At the age of 10, Meghan enrolled in a musical theatre class at her dance studio, which changed her life. Doing improv and acting exercises in this class showed Meghan how much she loved to play different characters and make people laugh.
In middle school, Meghan auditioned for her first musical, a production of Rodgers and Hammerstein’s Carousel. After taking part in this show, Meghan knew that this was what she wanted to do for the rest of her life.
Meghan continued to perform throughout high school and went on to study theatre in college. In the spring of 2023, she graduated from Hofstra University with a B.F.A. in Drama Performance and minors in musical theatre and journalism.
During her time at Hofstra, Meghan performed as #14 in Sarah Delappe’s The Wolves, Grape Lane Lady in Bertolt Brecht’s Threepenny Opera, Vanessa in Joshua Harmon’s Significant Other, and Kitty, Katey, and Jenny in a virtual production of Little Women. She also directed a production of Mirandolina by Carlo Goldoni.
While studying at Hofstra, Meghan also discovered a love for prop design. She served as props master for Hofstra’s productions of Barefoot in the Park, Phaedra, Everybody, and Threepenny Opera.
Additionally, for two summers, Meghan worked at Hofstra Summer Camps’ dance and musical theatre camps, where she choreographed and taught several dances.
